Hello friends!
Today, I am talking "shortly" about probiotics,
I had never heard of probiotics before I had Easton (my eczema child). When his skin started getting bad, someone recommended I start him on a probiotic. I wasn't sure what that meant, but I did it and it HELPED. His skin health has so much to do with the health of his gut. His poop was either EXPLOSIVE and unhealthy or he would be backed up for a week at a time. As soon as he started the probiotic, he was regular(more regular). His poop was more regular and his skin wasn't as stressed. Your gut can effect a lot of things, from your mood to your skin. A healthy gut is so important, which is why I want to talk probiotics.
-Who should take them?
Well, they are known to benefit those with skin problems, digestive issues (constipation or diarrhea), mood swings, mood disorders, people who have just finished antibiotics. But, everyone can benefit from them, because they support healthy digestion, immune system and nutrient absorption!
-What exactly are probiotics?
They are good LIVE strands of bacteria that balance the bacteria in your gut. I'm just going to leave it at that, keep it simple. :)
-The best time to take a probiotic?
The best time I've learned, is in the morning. During this time our bodies have little digestion activity and our bodies aren't very acidic, which makes it easier for the good bacteria to work in your body.
-Where can you get probiotics?
Some foods like Kefir have probiotics in them, and are great! There are also supplements you can take. Which are easily found online, or at healthfood and vitamin stores!
-Taking a probiotic can benefit you in many ways.
It boosts your immune system (50% of your immune health starts in your gut). Probiotics help you absorb your nutrients from food better, so you can receive more of the benefits of your food, rather than it just passing through. Probiotics help regulate your digestive health and help certain conditions; things like IBS or constipation AND SO MUCH MORE.
I encourage everyone to do their research on probiotics. They are so beneficial to our health, and can possibly eliminate or ease certain health issues, naturally. As they did my son.
